The partners and other of the Arbitration and Mediation team have relevant experience in resolving business disputes, as well as specific education and training in practice.

Azevedo Sette has extensive experience representing clients interests in proceedings before some of the main Brazilian and international chambers, being able to act in institutions such as ICC, LCIA, ICDR, CAM-CCBC, CAMARB, CAMB3, CMA CIESP-FIESP, AMCHAM, CBMA, CAESP and FGV.

Our team is able to advise clients in the drafting of clauses and in the choice of extrajudicial methods of dispute resolution and also, in the prior review of contracts and documents, mitigating potential risks inherent to contractual management.

The law firm represents the clients interest in the ratification of foreign arbitration awards or in the court enforcement of arbitration awards.

  • Real Estate Issues: Disputes arising from real estate operations, developments, commercial leases, build-to-suit or sale and leaseback operations;
  • Energy: Disputes involving contracts related to the generation, transmission, distribution and commercialization of electrical energy (ACR/ACL);
  • Infrastructure and Construction: Controversies about the execution of works, modification of schedules, involving critical path, construction or geological aspects, changes in the project, actions on productivity, economic and financial recovery and rebalancing;
  • Concessions and PPPs: Controversies about the execution of projects, demand change, impacts resulting from contractual changes by the Public istration, economic and financial rebalancing of contracts. Representation of clients interests in arbitration proceedings or Dispute Boards (Dispute Resolution Committees);
  • Technology, Internet and Media: Disputes arising from contracts and franchise issues, among others.
